Boulder Valley wrestling tournament comes to Frederick HS

NIWOT -- Frederick High School will play host to this year's Boulder Valley Invitational wrestling tournament all day Saturday.

FHS Principal Pete Vargas said the switch was necessary because of security issues at Niwot High School that came to life Thursday. Local media reported the existence of so-called "hit lists" on campus. Niwot High is closed Friday.

The tournament will give the Warriors a preliminary test run for when they host two tournaments at the end of the year. The league meet is the second week in February, and the regional meet will be at Frederick Feb. 15 and 16.
