Navy Seaman Taylor C. Broussard, a 2011 graduate of Frederick High School, recently completed the Navy’s Basic Electronics Technician School and earned honors as a distinguished graduate. Distinguished graduate is reserved for those students who exhibit exemplary military conduct, exceptional leadership qualities and academic achievement.
During the course at the Center for Surface Combat System Unit, Great Lakes, Ill, students receive introductory instruction in electronic circuit concepts, radar principles and the basics of radio transmitters and receivers. Studies also include procedures for repairing amplifiers, transmitters, receivers, and power supply lines.
Broussard joined the Navy in July 2011.
