Monique Chavez, of Platteville, announces the birth of a daughter, Ciara Mckenzie Amalia Chavez. Ciara was born Jan. 9, 2013, at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces, and measuring 21 inches.
