Deadline for board nominations upcoming

    BRIGHTON – The deadline to turn in petitions for this spring’s United Power board election is 4:30 p.m., Feb. 17. Petitions are available at the headquarters office, 500 Cooperative Way, Brighton.
    Four positions — one seat in each of the cooperative’s districts — on the 11-member board are up for election at the annual meeting April 12 at the Armory, 300 Strong St., Brighton. The terms are three years.
    To be eligible or remain a director, persons have to be United Power members and receive service from the cooperative at the member’s primary place of residence in the district he/she represents. Written petitions have to state the name and district of the nominee and be signed by 15 or more United Power board members. Call 303-659-0551 with questions.
