Ex-Frederick wrestler part of Denver MMA card

DENVER -- Frederick's Toby Lopez is on the under card of the Fight to Win MMA Mardi Gras Brawl card Feb. 24 at the National Western Stock Show Complex, Intetrstate 70 and Brighton Boulevard, Denver.

Lopez (1-1) faces Nichols Chem (2-0) in an early amateur fight on the card.

Lopez was a state champion wrestler at Frederick High School. He also competed in the Golden Gloves program. He opened his own gym, Xtreme MMA, in November.
