FIRESTONE — The Firestone Police Department has earned its Professional Standards reaccreditation through the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police.
This certification identifies professional operating standards for police agencies in Colorado.
Firestone Police Chief David Montgomery was presented with the re-accreditation at the April 23 Board of Trustees meeting by Gary Barbour, who is the Professional Standards Committee chairman.
The Firestone Police Department received its first CACP certification in 1994. It was renewed for another five years in 1999, 2004 and 2009.
