Local options to fill your loved ones’ stockings this holiday season

By Crystal Nelson

If you find yourself shopping in Brighton for the holidays, here are some local businesses that offer something for just about everyone when it comes to stocking stuffers:
    — Ribbon candy, hard candies, toffee, peanut brittle, chocolate covered bacon and fudge can all be found at The Candy Bouquet, which shares a space with A Touch of Class at 20 N. Main St., in Brighton. Pricing for candy starts at $1.25.

    — In addition to soap and body products, Milagros Soap Company also offers luxurious products for an at home spa. Bath blessings — the company’s version of bath bombs — come in scents such as lavender mint, Tahitian vanilla, rose violet and cucumber. The company also offers massage bars infused with cocoa and shea butters for the body and feet that melt when they come in contact with the skin. Bath blessings are $2 each, or four for $6. Massage bars are $9 each.

    — Junebugz Kid’s Boutique’s wall of bows boasts an assortment of hand-crafted barrettes and bows, among other one-of-a-kind hairpieces for girls. Hair pieces start at $2.99.

    — Music and More also offers novelties for little kids such as kazoos – $1 – and slide whistles – $3.99.

    — Kopps Tactical and Shooting Supplies also features some unique gifts such as “Shock Wave” exploding rifle targets for $6.99, which owner Devin Calcote said are a lot of fun, and for those who believe in safety first, mace or pepper spray which is $7.99 and up.
