Margaret C. Yaros, 94, of Brighton, passed away Nov. 1, 2012. She was born June 18, 1918, in Gary, Ind., to Paul and Anna Yaros. She graduated high school in Frenchtown, N.J.
Margaret worked for Kraft Foods in New York City for many years and then worked for the State of New York until she retired in 1988. She moved to Brighton three years ago to be with her family. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and a member of Victories of Kingwood Township in New Jersey. Margaret loved bowling and reading and spending time with her family. She loved to be around the excitement of her nieces and nephews and cheering for the numerous sports they played.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Gloria Stepanovsky, of Brighton; Peter “Michael” Stepon, of Frenchtown, N.J.; great-nieces, Michelle Tymchenko of Broomfield, Mandy Stepanovsky, of Lyons; great-nephew, William Stepanovsky, of Denver and three great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Monday, Nov. 5, followed by the rosary service, both at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton. Mass of Christian burial was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. A graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Fairview Cemetery.
