Marland B. Hosford, 78, of Brighton, passed away Nov. 6, 2012, in Denver. He was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Great Bend, Kan., to Kenneth and Margaret (Brougher) Hosford. He attended school in California and later married Judy Beierle June 13, 1953, in Brighton.
Marland lived in Brighton since 1955 and worked for Shell Chemical as an operator for more than 20 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1955. He loved restoring old cars and working with his hands. Teasing his grandchildren was one of his favorite ways to pass time; he loved being a grandparent. He was a loving father and grandfather and he will be missed.
Marland is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Dale) Bellows, of Brighton; and son, Robert (Tina) Hosford, of Brighton; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service took place Nov. 9 at Elmwood Cemetery.
Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
