Nice gesture by team leader

Somewhere in between celebrations, high-fives and fist bumps, Frederick quarterback Matt Lamb found time to think of someone else after the Warriors' 12-0 win over Roosevelt Saturday afternoon.

Frederick quarterback Matt Lamb, left, makes sure that teammate Nick Romito, right, is in on Saturday's first-round playoff win celebration. Romito broke his leg late last month and won't be able to walk until sometime in January.

Lamb ran off the field, found his friend and teammate, Nick Romito, on the sidelines and gave him as big a hug as Romito could stand. Romito is relegated to a pair of crutches after sustaining a broken leg in late October. The Warriors wore Romito's number, 5, on the back of their helmets the past two games.

Needless to say, it was a wonderful gesture.
