FREDERICK — The Carbon Valley Park and Recreation District is conducting a master plan project and wants input from all community residents, business owners, sports groups and other interests.
The district will host four public meetings. They will be:
• Tuesday, July 29, at the rec center from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. This meeting will focus on feedback from city and town leadership, business owners, town Trustees, board of directors, elected officials and city and town employees;
• Wednesday, July 30, at the rec center from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. This meeting will focus on the residents of Dacono, Firestone and Frederick and their needs in recreation programming. The Kidzone Daycare will be available for ages 12 months to 10 years at the normal drop-in rate;
• Wednesday, July 30, at the Carbon Valley Regional Library, 7 Park Ave. Firestone, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the community room. This meeting will focus on the residents of Dacono, Firestone and Frederick and their needs in recreation programming.; and
• Thursday, July 31, at the rec center from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the in the multi-purpose room. The meeting will focus on the needs of senior adults in our growing community. All are welcome to attend.
The master plan will guide the district’s growth in its current facilities and programs as well as any future recreational facilities and leisure programs.

The public is also welcomed to join others in a conversation about the future of the rec district at our Mind Mixer site at http://carbonvalley.mindmixer.com. This site is designed to engage with others in the community but with individual ideas for the sports and recreation needs of Carbon Valley.
