Thanks for car and bike show support

-A A +A

Editor,
Hot cars, cool bikes, great food, live band, silent auction, and more.  We’re talking about the ninth annual Trapper Day’s Roll-In “Bike and Car Show.” Once again, we have raised funds for the Floyd Acre scholarship and the “Blessings in a Bag” program.  The collecting of canned goods for the Fort Lupton Food Bank and sponsoring a blood drive has also become a standard part of the event.
As in the past, this could not happen without help from people and businesses in Fort Lupton and the surrounding communities.  We would like to convey a great big thank you to those who supported this event. Thank you to the committee who put it all together.  It takes many people and hours to make this happen.  Thank you to those who entered a bike or car, for those who submitted their votes and for the judges.  Thank you to those who allowed us to use their facilities.  Thank you for the donation of food items, the purchasers of the food, those who prepared it, and for those who came and enjoyed eating it.
Thank you to the band who gave of their talents and time for this event.  For those who donated items to the silent auction and items for the “man bags” we give at registration, thank you.  We thank those of you who bid on the items.  Thank you to all who helped with the “setting up” and “tearing down” for the event and the “angel” who supplied us with breakfast.  Thank you for all who gave money donations without expecting anything in return.  Advertising is a big part of making this a success so, thank you to the designer of the posters and flyers, the printing, and those who distributed them.  Thank you for people who pitched in without even being asked and for the support of law enforcement and emergency persons who were on site, the Trapper Day’s committee, the Community Foundation, Bonfils Blood Center, and CMA.  Thank you for those who supported us through their prayers and presence.
We are truly blessed to live in an area where communities come together for the good of others.  Nothing is more rewarding than knowing that we, working together, have made a difference in the lives of others by giving of ourselves. Thank you again.
