        Kenai, Alaska, resident Howard Wray died Oct. 1, 2011, at the Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna, Alaska.

  • Charlotte McMillian Koch

        Charlotte McMillian Koch, 70, died December 19, 2011, in care of hospice after suffering with colon cancer since 2007. Charlotte was born May 15, 1941, the second of a set of twins at Rullison. She moved with her family to Cañon City in 1950. She graduated high school in 1959 and moved to Denver to be with her sister and family.

        Dorothy Mae Rusch, 78, of Westminster, died April 30, 2012, at home in her sleep.

  • Elizabeth Schlagel

        Elizabeth Schlagel passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Beatrice Hover Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family.
        She was born on February 23, 1913 to Jacob and Christine Haas in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on board the ship, Lloyd Dampfers Breslau. Her parents were German immigrants from Pabotchnaya, Russia. Her parents came to Berthoud, Colorado to farm and raise their family. She attended Mead and Nelson school. She was the oldest of 12 children and the last remaining member of her immediate family.

        Rosalinda Gomez, 74, of Brighton, passed away May 3, 2012 at her home. She was born in Eagle Pass, TX to Jose Gallegos and Eugenia De Luna on September 4, 1937.

        Ray “Bud” Benedict, 86, of Weslaco, Texas, died at his home April 15, 2012.

  • Duane A. Addy

        Duane A. Addy, 64, of Rush, died April 24, 2012, in Denver. He was born May 16, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Alex and Francis (Silverthorne) Addy.
        He married Betty Larsen June 19, 1967, in Northglenn.
    He is survived by his wife; son, Patrick (Dionne) Addy; daughter, Melissa Addy; and seven grandchildren, Melanie, Thomas, Victoria, Emily, Joshua, Isaiah and Emilea. Duane was preceded in death by his parents.
        A funeral service was May 1 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, which handled the arrangements.

  • Jerome C. Johnson

        Jerome C. Johnson, 73, of Brighton, died April 24, 2012. He was born December 13, 1938, in Sioux Falls, S.D., the son of John C. and Margaret P. (Murren) Johnson.
        He entered the U.S. Air Force in August 1959 and honorably served our country until May 1963. On April 9, 1960, he married Shirley Ann Sessions in Lansing, Mich. Jerry worked for the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons for 30 years across the United States.

  • Jacob ‘Jake’ Bauer

        Jacob “Jake” Bauer, 87, of Greeley, died April 26, 2012, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
        He was born Aug. 19, 1924, near Fort Morgan, to Jacob and Katherine Bauer.  He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1942.  Jake worked for the Federal Bureau of Reclamation from 1948-1954 and then worked for the Colorado Department of Transportation.  He retired from CDOT in 1984 after a 30-year career.
