DACONO — The city of Dacono relaunched its website in February to better accommodate residents looking for municipal services.

“In our ongoing effort to utilize the latest conveniences offered by internet technology, we are proud to announce the launch of an all-new cityofdacono.com,” The city announced in a release. “With this new site we anticipate better serving the needs of our citizens by making information more readily available and easier to find.”

The city underwent a complete redesign process that started six months ago when Dacono renewed its contract with CivicPlus.

“The newly designed website represents a commitment by the City to enhance communication between citizens and government and provide increased transparency to local government via the internet,” the release stated.

Citizens will be able to communicate and conduct business directly with the city through some of the new modules.

These modules include “Notify Me,” an automated email and text message notification system that allows citizens to and receive regular updates on meetings and city news.

Citizens can also access city council agendas, reports, minutes and video of council meeting through the “Agenda Center.”

Residents can also make payments any time and day through the “Online Payments” module.

“With the new website, the City of Dacono will be able to increase its community engagement and enhance the communication between residents and local government,” City Administrator AJ Euckert said.

CivicPlus also designed the websites for the towns of Frederick and Firestone.
