FREDERICK — The man wanted by authorities in connection to a child sexual assault case was apprehended Sunday, March 9, by Frederick police.

Earlier in the day Sunday, Frederick Police issued a statement seeking information from the public from anyone who had seen or had any information regarding Thomas William Asche, 37, who had an outstanding warrant for Sexual Assault on a Child out of the jurisdiction.

Asche was apprehended approximately 10 p.m. later that day in unincorporated Weld County just west of Interstate 25 and south of Colorado state Highway 119.

Frederick spokeswoman Megan Williams said that Asche was apprehended without any additional information from the community, but the town appreciates when the public is actively engaged in keeping the community safe.
