Weld Food Bank distributing USDA foods in Carbon Valley

CARBON VALLEY — Weld Food Bank has begun distributing TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) foods from their Mobile Food Pantry at the Dacono site during the month of April.


Households wishing to apply for TEFAP will need to present an ID and proof of residency. Weld County residents living in the following towns may apply: Dacono, Firestone, Frederick, Erie and Longmont. Households must have an income below 185 percent of the federal poverty level to qualify ($3,631 gross/month for a family of four).

Distributions will occur every Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at New Horizons Church, 530 Cherry Street, Dacono (next to City Hall). Households may receive TEFAP goods once per month, but are welcome to access other Mobile Food Pantry items such as produce, dairy, and other perishable donated items, on a weekly basis.
